CT University and Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana, have signed an MoU for the improvement of health services in the region.

CT University and Fortis Hospital, Ludhiana, have signed an MoU for the improvement of health services in the region. It empanels CT University with Fortis Hospital. Under the MoU, the CT University's students, employees and their family members will be provided smart cards and special benefits at the hospital. The two institutes will jointly create awareness among the people of the region about the benefits of good health by organising exhibitions, seminars, special OPDs and vaccination drives. The MoU was signed between Dr Harsh Sadawarti, Pro Vice-Chancellor,  CT University and Vivan Singh Gill,  Facility Director, Fortis Hospital.

MSoB has been listed among top B schools of the country, including IIM Ahmadabad, ISB Hyderabad, FMS Delhi and NMIMS Mumbai.

Over 100 students of Maharaja Ranjit Singh PTU, Bathinda, get placement letters

More than 100 students of Giani Zail Singh Campus College of Engineering & Technology and affiliated colleges of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda, have got placement during the period of August-December 2017 in three joint campus placement drives, 10 individual companies' placement drives and three internship drives. A majority of these students are from GZSCCET, Bathinda.

Karan Hospital holds session on management of anorectal disorders

Karan Hospital, Jalandhar, recently organised a scientific session on the management of anorectal disorders in which latest techniques for the management of piles, fissures, fistula-in-ano and pilonidal sinus were discussed. Dr Kamal Gupta, who has got training in laser in proctology from Germany, talked about the use of laser, role of doppler in the treatment of piles, video-assisted treatment for fistula-in-ano, endoscopic treatment for pilonidal sinus and laser sphincterotomy for fistula-in-ano. The session was chaired by Dr Navdeep Gupta and Dr Ruby Gupta and was attended by eminent physicians of the city. 

J&K Bank inaugurates new premises of Delhi branch

J&K Bank executive president SS Sehgal inaugurated a new premises of the business unit at Vikas Marg, New Delhi on December 28. He inaugurated the new premises in the presence of bank's Delhi zonal head Rajni Saraf, vice-president Arvind Gupta and other officers and customers.

Parvez Ahmed opens ATM hub

J&K Bank inaugurated the newly renovated and refurbished premise of its Rawalpora business unit besides the hub of ATMs on December 30. Bank Chairman and CEO Parvez Ahmed inaugurated the premises and the ATM hub in the presence of senior officers of the bank.

PFC Consulting, Tata Power Delhi Distribution ink collaboration pact

PFC Consulting Ltd. (PFCCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Finance Corporation Ltd., has entered into a MoU with Tata Power Delhi Distribution Ltd. (Tata Power-DDL) for jointly exploring opportunities in electricity distribution sector in the country which shall inter-alia include various distribution projects, network strengthening, electrical mobility, smart grid, smart metering, information and communication technology (ICT), distributed energy resources, energy storage, trainings etc. or any other distribution scheme of Ministry of Power in various state discoms/utilities and/or in electricity distribution sector worldwide.  

Alchemist Hospital launches spine clinic 

Alchemist Hospital, Panchkula, launched a spine clinic on December 31. A first-of-its-kind spine facility in the region, it will provide comprehensive treatment for spine-related ailments. The spine care team comprises Dr Gauri Joshi, Dr Harsimratbir Singh Sodhi — neurosurgeons; Dr Dalvir Chauhan and Dr Sandeep Jindal — consultant orthopaedics; and Dr Veenu Sharma, physiotherapist.

NHPC chief meets Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, seeks new projects

Balraj Joshi, CMD, NHPC, and Chairman, NHDC Ltd (a joint venture of NHPC and Government of Madhya Pradesh) met Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan in Bhopal on December 22. During the meeting, the Chief Minister was apprised of various activities of the NHDC and was requested to entrust new projects to the NHDC.
