Mumbai, March 21: Built on a pharmaceutical legacy spanning over four decades, SKINLUV has emerged as a dedicated platform for dermatologist-recommended skincare, aiming to simplify how consumers access clinically trusted products online. Founded by Mr.Pradeep Kinikar with roots in India’s pharmaceutical supply chain since 1981, SKINLUV was launched in response to a growing challenge faced by skincare consumers on mainstream e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon and Flipkart. Customers searching for specific dermatologist-recommended products often encountered an overwhelming mix of sponsored listings, bundled products, and similar alternatives, frequently leading to confusion or incorrect purchases.

To address this gap, in 2018 they launched skinluv.in a specialised platform designed to help customers find exactly what their dermatologists recommend without algorithm-driven distractions.

Leveraging long-standing relationships with dermatologists and an established pharmaceutical distribution network, the platform was built on a foundation of trust developed over more than 45 years in the industry.

Today, skinluv.in serves customers across India and also delivers internationally, with exports reaching markets across Asia and Africa.

Focus on Clean, Plant-Based Skincare At the core of SKINLUV’s philosophy is the belief that skincare products should be developed with the same level of care as pharmaceutical formulations.

The company’s proprietary product range is positioned around plant-based clean beauty, with formulations developed in consultation with dermatologists and designed to avoid unnecessary synthetic ingredients. The brand emphasises pharmaceutical-grade sourcing and dermatology-backed product development rather than trend-driven formulations.

This approach has earned SKINLUV recognition as one of the Top 10 Plant-Based Startups in India by the publication Industry Outlook.

Bringing Korean Skincare to India SKINLUV has also built partnerships with Korean skincare manufacturers to introduce popular K-Beauty products to Indian consumers. The company says its sourcing model focuses on authenticity and verified supply chains in a market often affected by grey imports and unverified listings.

The offering is particularly targeted at younger consumers who follow global skincare trends.

Launch of SUNBLOOM Sunscreen Expanding its proprietary product lineup, SKINLUV has introduced SUNBLOOM, , an SPF 50 PA+++ invisible sunscreen formulated in consultation with dermatologists.

The sunscreen provides broad-spectrum UVA and UVB protection and is enriched with ingredients including niacinamide and calendula. It also incorporates Galshield UV Care Plus from TRI-K Industries in the United States.

According to the company, the product is designed to deliver lightweight protection without white cast or stickiness while supporting hydration, oil balance, and skin barrier protection.

The formulation is non-comedogenic and free from parabens and alcohol, and is positioned as suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone skin.

Long-Term Approach to Growth Unlike many direct-to-consumer brands that rely heavily on short-term trends or influencer-led marketing cycles, SKINLUV says its growth strategy is built on long-standing industry relationships and a pharmaceutical-grade supply chain infrastructure developed over decades.

The company aims to continue expanding access to dermatologist-recommended skincare while maintaining a clinically driven approach to product development.
