New Delhi: Traders’ body CAIT on Friday warned that allowing Central as well as state tax administrations to initiate action against any taxpayer irrespective of jurisdiction would lead to harassment of traders. Seeking the Centre’s intervention, the CAIT said the GST Council’ move allowing jurisdiction to Central ane state tax administrations over assesses “not only allows overlapping of jurisdiction and harassment of traders but will also complicate the system”. pti

London: Tata Steel’s European business on Friday announced a partnership with the Netherlands’ chemicals company Nouryon and the Port of Amsterdam to develop the largest green hydrogen cluster in Europe, which, it says, is one of the initiatives to help the Indian steel giant achieve its ambition of becoming carbon neutral from 2050.
