NHAI ready for FASTag mandate from December

CHANDIGARH: The National Electronic Toll Collection (FASTag) programme, an initiative of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), has been implemented on pan-India basis in order to remove bottlenecks and to ensure seamless movement of traffic and collection of user fee as per the notified rates, using passive Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, from December 1.
