New Delhi, July 22

The government on Thursday approved a Rs 6,322-crore production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme for the specialty steel sector, which will be provided over next five years.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said it “will enhance exports and minimise dependence on imports, bring in investment of Rs 1,40,000 crore (approx) and generate around 5.25 lakh jobs”. — TNS
