Shah-led GoM to meet today on AI divestment

NEW DELHI:Intending to move forward on the government’s decision to divest stake in Air India, the Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet on Thursday to deliberate on the contours of public holdings in the national carrier.

Intending to move forward on the government’s decision to divest stake in Air India, the Group of Ministers (GoM) headed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah will meet on Thursday to deliberate on the contours of public holdings in the national carrier.

It is learnt the Finance Ministry officials today held a preparatory meeting to identify the issues relating to overall finances of the airline, including its debt and assets. Sources said the government had hinted at diluting a few norms to attract investors.
