The State Health Agency organised a cluster-level meeting regarding Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana under the chairmanship of principal secretary Anurag Aggarwal to create awareness regarding implementation of the scheme.
Civil Surgeons, Deputy Medical Commissioners, Senior Medical Officers, nodal officers, doctors and staff of private hospitals from seven districts — Patiala, Fatehagarh Sahib, Roopnagar, Ludhiana, Sangrur, SBS Nagar and SAS Nagar — participated in the meeting.
Anurag Aggarwal said under the Ayushman Bharat- Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojana, 43.08 lakh families would be covered and provided health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care.
He said that the beneficiaries could avail of the facility in government hospitals and empanelled hospitals offering a total of 1,396 treatment packages.
He also held discussions with delegates for the smooth functioning of the scheme.
