‘Cleaner Neighborhood’ Drive

MOHALI: Students of Small Wonders School, Mohali, along with the staff participated in ‘cleaner neighborhood’ drive. Making an impassioned plea through creative slogans, gifting message cards, banners and posters, students highlighted the importance of hygiene, no to plastic bags and segregating garbage in blue and green dustbins.

Small Wonders School

Students of Small Wonders School, Mohali, along with the staff participated in ‘cleaner neighborhood’ drive. Making an impassioned plea through creative slogans, gifting message cards, banners and posters, students highlighted the importance of hygiene, no to plastic bags and segregating garbage in blue and green dustbins.

DAV School

DAV Mohali conducted special assembly highlighting different cultures of various states of India. A painting competition was also organised for Classes V to VII in which students came out with beautiful messages and slogans. Students showed their creativity and imagination. Principal Dr Rosy Sharma congratulated the students and teachers.

Bhavan Vidyalaya

A peace rally was organised under the aegis of the Rotary Club at Elante Mall. The theme of the rally was ‘Let there be peace’.  Around 700 students from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh, were a part of the assembly. The event started with the chanting of Sanskrit shlokas by the melodious Bhavan choir followed by a medley of songs on peace and harmony.

Maharaja Jassa Singh School

Maharaja Jassa Singh Ramgarhia Public School, Sector 27-D, Chandigarh, observed Gandhi Jayanti as ‘swachha bharat abhiyan’. It was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm. The day began with cleaning of the classrooms and corridors by teachers and students. A special movie ‘Sabarmati ke saint’ was shown to the students.

The British School

A special assembly was held at The British School, Sector 12, Panchkula, to mark the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Students were given information on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Tarushi Gaur, dressed as the Father of the Nation looked incredible. A cultural programme was also organized on the occasion.

Ashmah International School 

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour at Ashmah International School, Sector 70.  Students also took out a rally in Sector 57 to motivate residents to follow Mahatma’s principles.

AKSIPS-41 Smart School

Keeping in mind the importance of conservation of environment, the Eco and Swacch Bharat Club of AKSIPS 41 Smart School organised an awareness campaign in Sector 41 residential area. The students raised awareness regarding the segregation of bio-degradable and non-biodegradable waste at household level among the residents.

Manav Rachna Int’l School

The birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated at Manav Rachna International School, Mohali. A small PPT on the life of Mahatma Gandhi was shown to students. A committee of the cleanliness ambassadors of 10 students was formulated and introduced. Students of the annual project-community connect-from Classes IV to VII went to the adopted school at Papri village to raise awareness about cleanliness. The visit culminated with a plantation drive. — TNS

Mount Litera Zee School 

Mount Litera Zee School, Panchkula, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with great enthusiasm and fervour. Students delivered speeches and recited poems highlighting Mahatma Gandhiji's principles. A play was also performed by the students to mark the Gandhian spirit of non-violence and truth. — TNS
