CHANDIGARH: The much sought-after number 0001 was sold for Rs 7.30 lakh during an e-auction of the CH 01 BV series today. The Registration and the Licensing Authority earned Rs 90.03 lakh from the auction of 347 numbers.

The much sought-after number 0001 was sold for  Rs 7.30 lakh during an e-auction of the CH 01 BV series today. The Registration and the Licensing Authority earned Rs 90.03 lakh from the auction of 347 numbers.

The number 0001 was bought by city resident Harish Goyal. The number 9900 fetched the second-highest amount of Rs 5 lakh. The other numbers that fetched premium amounts were 0005 (Rs 2.99 lakh), 0009 (Rs 2.55 lakh), 9999 (Rs 2.41 lakh), 7777 (Rs 1.90 lakh ), 0099 (Rs 1.81 lakh) and 0099 (Rs 1.81 lakh).

The reserve price for 0001 was Rs 50,000. The other numbers in the top 10 category had the reserve price of Rs 30,000. The successful bidders will be required to get their vehicles registered and deposit the bid amount within one month from the date of the auction.
