14 teachers transferred over poor Class X results

CHANDIGARH: In view of the poor Class X results, the UT Education Department transferred 14 teachers to different government schools on Tuesday.

In view of the poor Class X results, the UT Education Department transferred 14 teachers to different government schools on Tuesday.

The officials have already suspended a principal and four heads of government schools, besides transferring three school incharges over poor result.

Earlier, 56 teachers were served show-cause notices. The government schools witnessed only 48 per cent pass percentage in class X this year.

BL Sharma, Education Secretary, has already told principals and heads of all government schools in a meeting to ensure minimum 75 per cent pass percentage in the ongoing session in class X.
