15 flights cancelled due to foggy weather
Vande Bharat Express reaches Chandigarh late by one hour and 25 minutes
Fifteen flights had to be cancelled due to fog at Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport here today. The first flight to depart from here took off at 11:49 am to Lucknow. Till then, it was all quiet at the airport since morning.
The departures to Delhi and Jaipur scheduled at 7:10 am and 7:35 am were cancelled. The first flight to arrive here from Mumbai, scheduled at 8:20 am, finally touched down at 11:55 am.
The early morning arrivals from Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, Bengaluru and late night departures to Pune, Delhi and Jaipur stood cancelled.
Meanwhile, the New Delhi-Amb Andaura Vande Bharat Express train reached Chandigarh at 10:03 am, late by one hour and 25 minutes. The Kalka-New Delhi Shatabdi was late by one hour and 14 minutes. The New Delhi-Kalka Shatabdi reached Chandigarh at 12:17 noon, late by over an hour.
