15-year-old sodomised in Ambala

A 15-year-old boy was allegedly sodomised by an unidentified man in Ambala City on May 23. The victim hails from Uttar Pradesh and is currently living with his uncle in Ambala City.

In his complaint to the police, the minor’s uncle alleged that his nephew, who used to work at a sugarcane kiosk, told him that on May 23, around 11.30 pm, an unidentified man thrashed him, took him to the vegetable market in Ambala City and sodomised him. Later, he threatened the minor with dire consequences if he narrated the incident to anyone. The minor told the police that he could identify the person.

A case was registered under Sections 323, 377 and 506 of the IPC and Section 4 of the POCSO Act at the Ambala City police station on Sunday.

Ambala City SHO Ajit Singh said a complaint had been registered and the matter was being investigated. No arrest has been made.
