1K cops to keep eye on evil in Mohali

Nearly 1,000 cops would ensure law and order at five sites where Dasehra will be celebrated in the town tomorrow. 

Giving information, Mohali SSP Kuldeep Singh Chahal said the number of personnel at sites would vary according to the gathering.

“Besides, special nakas will be laid at sensitive points and special search operations will be conducted at public places, including markets, religious buildings, hotels and motels,” said the SSP.

The town will see Dasehra celebrations at five places — Dasehra Ground at Phase 8, Phase 1, Sector 66 and Sector 68 and Balongi village.
