2 city eateries fined

Chandigarh, September 21

The Excise and Taxation Department, UT, has imposed a penalty of Rs 1 lakh each on two restaurant-cum-bars in Sector 26 here for serving liquor to persons below 25 years of age.

Rakesh Kumar Popli, Additional Commissioner, Excise and Taxation Department, imposed the fine on Barbeque Nation and Purple Frog.
