Chandigarh, April 7

The city recorded 399 new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, taking the number of active cases to 3,121. With two more deaths, the toll has reached 388. The total number of cases in the UT has reached 29,197. A total of 313 patients were cured of the disease in the past 24 hours. TNS

Panchkula tally goes past 14K

Panchkula: The district Covid tally has surpassed 14,000 with 107 new cases. No death was reported and the toll remained at 156. There are now 1,184 active cases. The recovery rate stands at 90.46 per cent. As many as 1,367 persons were vaccinated at 27 centres on Wednesday. TNS

7 deaths in Mohali district

Mohali: Seven deaths and 481 new cases surfaced in the district on Wednesday. Among the new cases, 181 were reported from Mohali (urban), five from Lalru, 102 from Dhakoli, 91 from Kharar, 32 from Dera Bassi, 45 from Gharuan, 13 from Kurali and six each from Banur and Boothgarh. TNS
