The district today reported two deaths due to Covid-19. A 62-year-old woman from Bitna, who was suffering from diabetes, and a 48-year-old man from Sector 15, who had no comorbidities, succumbed to the virus. The district also witnessed 43 fresh cases.

Among the fresh cases, six were from Kalka, four each from Pinjore, Sector 15 and Sector 20, three each from Amravati Enclave, Sector 19, Sector 7 and Sector 9, two from Naggal, one each from Bitna, Chowki, Devinagar, Mauli, Nada Sahib, Police Lines, Sector 10, Sector 12, Sector 18, Sector 21 and Sultanpur. — TNS
