2 found dead in separate cases

Zirakpur: Two persons were found dead in separate incidents in Zirakpur. In Pabhat, a 22-year-old youth, Aradhya, hanged himself to death at his rented accommodation. The police said the youth was in distress due to some job-related issue. No suicide note was found on him. In another incident, a 32-year-old married man was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his rented accommodation in Saini Vihar, Baltana. The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Kumar, who was into property-related business. The cause of death would be known after the autopsy, the police said. TNS

Stone laid for no-fee hospital

Mohali: The Sohana Hospital Trust will set up a 100-bed hospital in Mohali where no fee would be charged. Chairman of the Trust Bhai Davinder Singh laid the foundation stone of the project. He said there would be no cash counters at the hospital and patients would be charged no fee. All treatment, including diagnosis, lab test, scanning, etc, would be provided free of cost. He said in October, Sohana Hospital would be equipped with state-of-the-art radiation machines for the treatment of cancer. TNS
