Mohali, November 15
Three persons, including two children, sustained injuries when their car, in which they were travelling, overturned after being hit by another car, here this morning.
The incident occurred at the crossing in front of the Mohali Municipal Corporation office. One of the injured, Munish Mahajan, a resident of Sector 91, sustained injuries. He has been shifted to a private hospital, where his condition is said to be stable.
According to the police, Mahajan was travelling in his Alto car with two children at the time of the incident. “The impact was so strong that Mahajan’s car overturned. The other car was being driven by a woman, who managed to flee,” said the police.
The children had also been shifted to a private hospital here, said the police.
According to a Municipal Corporation employee, they had written to the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority several times to install traffic lights and construct slip roads at the crossing, but all in vain.
