516 aspirants get job at mega fair

Under the flagship programme of the Punjab Government, “Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mission”, renowned companies of the world today provided jobs to 516 candidates out of more than 750 candidates during the third event of the 7th Mega Job Fairs organised at Rayat Bahra University, Kharar.

Deputy Director, District Bureau of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE), Meenakshi Goyal said prominent employers, including Reliance, HDFC, Tata AIG, Puma Source, Kotak Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Pukhraj, Zomato, HCL, participated in the job fair and provided jobs to 516 candidates. She said 41 candidates had been selected for skill training and 52 for self-employment. Vice-Chanceller of Rayat and Bahra University Parvinder Singh was the chief guest on this occasion while Registrar BS Satyal also attended the fair as a distinguished guest.

Addressing the candidates, Dr Parvinder Singh urged the youth to take optimum benefit from these job fairs and be proud of your economical independence after getting employment.
