Lalru, November 18
A 52-year-old cyclist was killed after he was reportedly hit by a tempo here today. The deceased has been identified as Ranbir Singh, a resident of Lalru.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 7.30 am when Ranbir was heading towards his home on his bicycle. When he reached near the SBI branch at Lalru, a Tata tempo, bearing an HP registration number and going in the same direction, allegedly hit his bicycle from the rear end. Ranbir sustained injuries and was taken to the Civil Hospital, Dera Bassi, where doctors declared him brought dead. The police have registered a case. —OC
