61 pass out as UT police constables

CHANDIGARH: The passing out parade of 18th and 19th batch of 61 constables, including 13 females, was held at the Parade Ground, Police Lines, Sector 26, today.

Newly recruited constables of the UT police after taking part in the passing out parade at the Police Lines in Sector 26, Chandigarh, on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, December 18

The passing out parade of 18th and 19th batch of 61 constables, including 13 females, was held at the Parade Ground, Police Lines, Sector 26, today.

On the occasion, UT DGP Sanjay Baniwal took the salute from the contingents.

Nilambari Jagadale, SSP, UT and Training, presented a report about the training of recruits. The SSP said these constables were provided adequate exposure in the fields of criminal law, medical jurisprudence, VIP security, human rights, etc.

They have also been imparted training in mob control, weapon handling, yoga, PT and parade.

Special workshops on topics like cyber crime, bank frauds and gender sensitisation etc were also held.

Constables Naresh Kumar and Shubham stood all-round first in their respective batches. Constables Manjit Singh and Savita bagged the second position in their respective batches.
