942 cases settled in lok adalat

Patiala, November 17

As many as 942 cases were disposed of in the National Lok Adalat here today. Nineteen judicial Benches were constituted in Patiala district for the purpose. 

As many as 1,117 cases under different categories were taken up for settlement through mutual compromise wherein 942 cases were settled in the Lok Adalat. 

Additional Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed visited Lok Adalat Bench of the Patiala court and inspired the parties to resolve their disputes amicably and peaceably by availing this opportunity. 

Giving more information about benefits of the Lok Adalat, Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit said, “When a case is settled in Lok Adalat its award becomes final and no appeal lies against it.”
