Two short plays — Balwant Gargi’s ‘Rai ka pahad’ and Daroga ji chori ho gye’ by Jay Parkash Singh — were performed, under the aegis of the Chandigarh Art Theatre, at mini auditorium in Tagore Theatre here on Tuesday.

The first play depicted a story on rumour about a murder and as the title suggests, a mountain is made out of the molehill.

Another play — Daroga ji! Chori ho gye — is a satire about how the youth is so determined to fulfil their desires that they forget the difference between the right and the wrong. In the process of doing so, they lose their true identity.
