Aabhishek stays ahead, Samrat 2nd

CHANDIGARH:Chandigarh’s Samrat Yadav jumped to second place even as Aabhishek Mishra of Team Sparky Garage held on to his lead at the end of the SS6 of the Desert Storm in Jaisalmer on Friday.

Chandigarh’s Samrat Yadav jumped to second place even as Aabhishek Mishra of Team Sparky Garage held on to his lead at the end of the SS6 of the Desert Storm in Jaisalmer on Friday. Lhapka Tsering ended the day in fourth place.

Gaurav Gill of Team Mahindra, meanwhile, slipped six places to eighth position and enduring a rough day, which saw him take 4:09.26s to complete the morning stage. 

Mishra continued to show his class, clocking 2:49.49s to stay ahead of the field. His teammate Capt AVS Gill (co-driver Diwakar Kalia) too was in top form, moving up a place to third position. 

In the Moto category, TVS Racing’s Adrian Metge and CS Santosh continued to battle for supremacy. Despite being sluggish, French Metge maintained his lead with a timing of 2:46.40s. 

Santosh recorded the fastest time (2:44.30s) on Friday to stay in second place, while Abdul Wahid clocked 2:45.56s to end the day in third spot. — TNS
