ers, including Prem Garg, convener of the Chandigarh AAP, were deprived of their cash and wallets by pickpockets at a function held at the residence of Harmohan Dhawan during his induction in the party. As the speeches were about o end, one of the victims raised alarm when he checked his pocket. Soon, several others, including the AAP convener, also found that their wallets were missing. It was suspected that due to huge rush at the event, pickpockets used their sleight of hands and stole cash from the pockets of some of the workers.

Dual role of police!

Questions were being raised over the dual role of the police over the entry of heavy vehicles in Pinjore and Kalka towns. Residents say the police were discriminating against the general public with regard to the entry of heavy vehicles. Despite a ban, the police had failed to restrict the entry of heavy vehicles during the daytime, leading to traffic jams. However, during a recent visit of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to the town, the police did not allow the entry of these vehicles.

Novel way

It’s no wonder that despite putting up no-parking signs, people take pleasure in violating the rules. Residents have painted a ‘no-parking’ sign on a wall with an amusing threat “no parking, else tyres will be deflated” near a government school in Kishangarh. Residents said it worked for them.
