Aarushi beats Khushboo, clinches title

MOHALI: Aarushi of St Soldier School registered a 3-1 win over Khushboo of Learning Paths School to top the podium in the girls’ U-19 singles competition on the third and penultimate day of the CBSE Cluster XVII Table Tennis Tournament here today.

Aarushi of St Soldier School registered a 3-1 win over Khushboo of Learning Paths School to top the podium in the girls’ U-19 singles competition on the third and penultimate day of the CBSE Cluster XVII  Table Tennis Tournament here today.

Arnav Aggarwal of Gurukul Global School blanked Pritish of Learning Paths School 3-0 to claim the boys’ U-14 title.

Pawan of DAV School, Chandigarh, meanwhile, beat Rahul of Moti Ram School, Chandigarh, 3-1 to set up the title clash with Harman Saini of St Soldier School, Mohali, in the boys’ U-19 singles contest. 

Saini blanked Abhinav of DAV School, Patiala, 3-0 in the semifinal.

In the boys’ U-17 singles semifinals, Jashanjot Singh of DAV School, Chandigarh, beat Jashan Amal of Gurukul School, Chandigarh, 3-1, while Divyam of Bhavan Vidalaya, Chandigarh, got the better of Ryan Gandhi of Learning Paths School, Mohali.

Pelf of Learning Paths School blanked Neha of Manav Mangal School, Chandigarh, in the girls’ U-14 singles semifinals. In the final, Pelf will face Khushi of Gem Public School, Mohali, who prevailed 3-2 over Kirti of St Soldier School, Mohali, in the semis.

In the team championship, Learning Paths School beat  St Soldier School 3-0 in the girls’ U-14 final, while Gurukul Global School drubbed Learning Paths in the boys’ U-14 title clash.
