Kharar, September 14

The police are yet to trace three suspects who broke the windowpane of a car and also threw acid inside it at Green Enclave here.

The incident took place around 11 pm on Saturday. The suspects had earlier threatened to throw acid on a girl. They damaged her family’s car parked outside the house.

Inderjeet, father of the girl, said one Rohit had earlier threatened his daughter and other family members. He started harassing and chasing her. The family had earlier filed a complaint with the police, but they reached a compromise.

The suspects still did not mend their ways and damaged their car. One of the eyewitnesses said three persons damaged the car. They were also caught on CCTV cameras. The police are investigating the matter. — TNS
