Alankrita bags 2 gold at martial arts meet

Alankrita Singh, a student of Kendriya Vidyalaya OCF, Sector 29, won two gold medals in the recently concluded 5th National Shastrang Martial Arts Championship at the Divisional Sports Complex, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra.

The event was organised by the Shastrang International Martial Arts Federation (SIMF) in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports and Youth Services, Maharashtra-Pune, under the FIT India movement.

Representing Chandigarh, Alankrita won gold medal in the U-14 air shield event (40kg-44kg). In the final, she defeated Aarvi from Assam. In the defence drill event (40kg-44kg), she defeated Maharashtra’s Trisha.
