Maitrey Govind Ranade never let his weakness come in his way as he managed to clear one of the toughest exams (JEE Advanced) and now looks forward to seeking admission to one of the IITs. Maitrey Govind Ranade, a student of Ryan International, has achieved All India Rank 21 in the category for persons with disability in the JEE Advanced, the results of which were declared on Sunday.
Cerebral palsy had restrained his physical movements but couldn’t deter him from achieving 10 CGPA in Class X. He chose non-medical stream as the path for his career, motivated by his father, a colonel in the Army. His mother works as a professor in the department of computer applications in Punjabi University. With his dedicated and consistent hard work, he scored 94.8% in Class XII.
Maitrey says internet and the social media restrict the academic growth of students but he was able to clear his doubts on WhatsApp groups and study with the help of Internet at home under the supervision of his parents. Constant motivation from his teachers and parents helped him achieve his goal. His perseverance and hard work brought him success when he achieved AIR 21. All his teachers and principal Pooja Sharma congratulated him on his success and wished him luck for his future endeavours.
BIPS students shine
BIPS has proved its mettle once again as Arshit Modi secured AIR 948 in JEE Advance. Priyanshu Madaan got AIR 1718, Simarpreet Singh Sethi got AIR 1899 and Guntaas Singh secured AIR 2814. Principal Indu Sharma congratulated the students and their parents for their brilliant achievement.

Tanvir: AIR 329
Tanvir Bal, a student of Blossoms Senior Secondary School, has brought laurels to the school by securing rank 329 in IIT (JEE) Advance 2018. He also topped in the school by securing 95.2% marks in the non-medical stream in CBSE Class XII examination. He scored 95 in Physics, 99 in Chemistry, 98 in Mathematics and more than 90 in English and Physical Education.
Manav: AIR 114
In addition to the accolades, celebrations got a boost on DAV premises when six of its meritorious students added more colour by cracking the JEE-Advanced-2018. Manav Bansal bagged All India Rank 114 followed by Rajat Kumar Jha with AIR 2101. Officiating Principal Neera Khurana said DAV Patiala has always provided a platform to such industrious students.
