Arguments heard on quantum of punishment

PANCHKULA:A district court here today heard the arguments on quantum of punishment in the murder case of a 22-year-old youth from Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

A district court here today heard the arguments on quantum of punishment in the murder case of a 22-year-old youth from Baddi in Himachal Pradesh. The next date of hearing has been fixed for December 4.

On November 23, the court had held Mohd Arif and Virender guilty under Sections 304 and 307 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and acquitted five others - Nishant, Mohd Ijhar, Mohd Ajmal, Osaf Ahmad and Rajan.

Deepak Kumar (22) was stabbed to death behind Hotel Cove, Sector 5, Panchkula, on the intervening night of December 31, 2016, and January 1, 2017, by a group of men over parking issue.
