Athletics meet: Jaspreet claims 1,500m gold

Jaspreet Kaur claimed a gold medal in the 1,500m event of the girls’ U-19 category on the opening day of the CBSE Cluster XVII Athletics Championship at the Sector 7 Sports Complex. The championship is being organised by PML SD Public School, Sector 32.

Parneet Kaur claimed the second position, followed by Baani Tarar at third.

In the boys’ U-19 event, Khushdeep Singh, Aarav Sharma and Jaskirat Singh bagged the top three positions, respectively. Diya Rana won the gold medal in the same event of the girls’ U-17 event. Ramanjeet Kaur bagged the second position, while Radhika stood third in the girls’ U-17 event. In the boys’ U-17 category, Jaskaran Singh, Kanwar Partap Singh and Pukhraj Singh claimed the top three positions, respectively.

Jaspreet Singh won the boys’ U-14 shot put event, followed by Manpreet Singh and Akamjot. In the girls’ U-14 long jump event, Hitanshi, Maisha and Sahajpreet Kaur claimed the top three positions, respectively.
