The saang, titled “Raja Veer Vikramjit Khanderao Pari...” left the audience awe-struck. The opening verses of the ragini he rendered were “Keh ke ulta…” and “Pakad kaleja ron laagi...” moved the audience.

It was then the turn of the star performer of the evening, Ramsharan, who enthraled the audience by unfolding the tale of a kind-hearted Prince, Chanderhaas, in a typical Haryana tradition, besides doling out a ragini number depicting the immortal bond of friendship between Lord Krishna and his childhood chum, Sudama.

Saang is an ancient tradition of storytelling, which existed long before the advent of TV, the internet and social media, served as a potent medium of entertainment and raising social awareness among the people at large.

NZCC Director Mohd Furqan Khan expressed his deep gratitude to the large number of saang lovers, for taking out their time to be a part of the event despite the prevailing inclement weather conditions.

Popular standup comedienne of Haryana Renu Duhan, conducted the stage and kept the audience in high spirits with dollops of rustic Haryanavi humour.
