The preliminary post-mortem report of 70 head of cattle, who died yesterday under mysterious circumstances at Mata Mansa Devi Gaudham, a cow shelter run by the Panchkula Gaushala Trust, has suggested that the bovines died due to food poisoning. This was stated by Dr Anil Banwala, Deputy Director, Anil Husbandry and Dairying (Haryana).

“The report of feed and water samples sent to the Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Hisar will make things clear. Samples have also been sent for examination to Madhuban in Karnal,” he said.
Cops rule out foul play Assistant Commissioner of Police Raj Kumar has ruled out any foul play, saying they did not find any suspicious activity while scrutinising the footage of CCTV cameras installed inside the sheds.
Panel to submit report today
A three-member committee constituted to look into the matter will submit its report on Friday. Nishu Singla, CEO, Zila Parishad, Panchkula, is heading the inquiry panel, while other two members are Dr Anil Banwala, Deputy Director of Anil Husbandry Department, Haryana, and ACP Raj Kumar.
