Bahuguna takes charge of CRPF, Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH:MP Bahuguna has taken over as the Deputy Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF), Chandigarh range, today.



Chandigarh, July 1

MP Bahuguna has taken over as the Deputy Inspector General of the Central Reserve Police Force’s (CRPF), Chandigarh range, today. He will be responsible for the deployment of CRPF units on security duties in and around the city.

Prior to this, he was posted with CRPF’s Jammu sector. He has earlier served in Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir and the North-East and has also commanded a CRPF battalion in Chandigarh. He has had two stints with the Special Protection Group responsible for the Prime Minister’s security and is a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service and the Director General’s Commendation Disc. — TNS
