Zirakpur, May 21
Two unidentified youth allegedly thrashed a local BJP leader Vishember Pathak and vandalised his car on Chandigarh- Ambala highway near Singhpura light point in Zirakpur on Tuesday.
The incident took place around 11 am when Pathak was going to Ambala from Pinjore. As he reached near Singhpura light point, an Innova hit his car from rear. Youngsters in the Innova misbehaved with the victim and sped away. Later, the victim asked the youths to stop the vehicle. In a fit of rage, the youngsters thrashed Pathak. The victim somehow managed to escape but the youths vandalised his car. The police have started investigation in the matter. — OC
