The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today released its manifesto for Kalka. BJP candidate Shakti Rani Sharma was joined by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and participated in a rally in her support. Shakti Rani’s son and MP Kartikeya said the BJP was releasing the manifesto for Kalka for its all-round development.

“The goal is to make Kalka drug and crime-free. Kalka will be made drug and crime-free by running a special campaign. CCTVs will be installed at all major places in the area. All necessary steps will be taken to prevent crime. Police patrolling will be increased in sensitive areas,” he said.

He said special attention will be given to the construction and reconstruction of the roads of the area. “For this, funds will be arranged for the construction of roads from schemes, including Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana.”

He said special arrangements would be made to provide uninterrupted clean drinking water by installing tube-wells, boosting stations and overhead water tanks in the area.
