To celebrate the spirit of teamwork, camaraderie, perseverance and strength in the face of all odds, the senior wing of Carmel Convent School celebrated its annual sports day. The day began with the arrival of Garima Singh, Special Secretary, Finance, Punjab, who was given the guard of honour by the school band. This was followed by an array of drills, march past and track events. Sports Captain Jannia Singh read out the school report. Sports awards were given to national and state-level achievers. Garima Singh urged students and parents alike to make a difference by working towards protecting the environment. As the president of the Punjab Kick-boxing Association, she talked about the importance of fitness and good health as a way to counter stress in life.
St Joseph’s, Chandigarh
Students of the kindergarten block of St Joseph’s School, Sector 44-D, enjoyed the activity of ‘sandwich-making’. Children were familiarised with different kinds of veggies and fruits such as carrot, cucumber, tomatoes, pomegranate and corns. Little chefs enjoyed making the instant and healthy sandwiches.

The CBSE Regional Science Exhibition/Fair 2019-20 started at Bhavan Vidyalaya, Panchkula. The exhibition was declared open by Karnail Singh, Regional Officer, CBSE. Principal Gulshan Kaur extended a warm welcome to guests, judges, participating schools and budding scientists.
