Cash, valuables stolen from cars

Chandigarh, December 16

Valuables, including a laptop and cash, were stolen from two cars parked at different places in the city.

In one of the cases, complainant Ashok Singh, a resident of Kaimbwala, reported that two unknown persons riding an Activa scooter stole a bag containing Rs 20,000, a mobile phone and some important documents from his car, which was parked outside his shop at Hallo Majra village on December 15. The complainant saw the suspects stealing the bag after which they escaped from the spot.

The complainant managed to note down a part of the registration number of the scooter. The police were informed, who registered a case at the Setcor 31 police station. In another incident, complainant Parmod Kumar, a resident of Sector 15, Panchkula, reported that an unknown person stole a laptop lying in his car while it was parked at the parking near the petrol pump in the MHC, Mani Majra, on December 15.
