A joint team from the Estate Office’s Building Branch and Enforcement Wing carried out the drive at the site. Officials stated that multiple violations related to the approved building plan and construction norms were detected during inspections.

According to the administration, the club operators had been issued several notices directing them to rectify the discrepancies. However, failure to comply within the stipulated time led to the sealing action.

Officials further revealed that nearly 10 clubs and bars in the city have been sealed over the past year for similar violations. The administration has intensified inspections across Chandigarh, warning that strict action will continue against establishments found flouting building regulations. Meanwhile, the team also sealed showroom No. 9 in Sector 17 for violating the building by-laws.
