After a shaky and poor domestic season last year, the Union Territory Cricket Association (UTCA) Chandigarh now eyes changes in the support staff and early preparation to get better results in the upcoming BCCI matches.
Recently, the UTCA conducted interviews for hiring new support staff, including coaches/managers and others.
“We have laid specific guidelines and shortlisted the candidates before calling them for interviews. It was an overwhelming response, as many former first class cricketers, diploma holders and others showed interest. We will be soon finalising their names as we are eyeing for an early training session this season for better outcome. We have got a good and meritorious response,” said Hari Singh Khurana, secretary, UTCA Chandigarh.
Recently, the UTCA conducted motivational sessions and also announced hiring of specialised experts for taking care of players’ fitness.
