Chandigarh man arrested for vehicle theft

Under its ongoing drive against motor vehicle thieves, the Chandigarh Police have arrested a 33-year-old man in connection with a two-wheeler theft case and recovered the vehicle.

The accused, identified as Sahil, son of Aman Pathak, a resident of Sector 70, Mohali, was apprehended by a team from Sector 49 police station. The arrest was made in connection with an e-FIR dated December 2, 2023.

The case was lodged on the complaint of Baljit Singh of Sector 48, Chandigarh, who reported the theft from outside a house in Sector 63 on March 14, 2023.

The police traced and arrested the accused and recovered the scooter. The accused, who is educated up to Class XII and employed in a private job, has no previous criminal record. He has been remanded in judicial custody.
