Chandigarh Municipal Corporation teams issue 72 challans for illegal vending

The Municipal Corporation on Thursday carried out an extensive enforcement drive against illegal street vendors in the city. A total of 72 challans were issued to violators for non-compliance with civic regulations.

The drive commenced from the Sector 17 Bank Square and covered key areas such as the Nayagaon barrier and the Sector 22 market. In the evening, enforcement teams checked violations in Kajheri village and Raipur Khurd.

A total of four dedicated teams conducted the drive during which illegal vendors encroaching upon public spaces and roads were removed, restoring accessibility for pedestrians and commuters.
