Chandigarh reports 2 new Covid cases; 80 pc adults have got 1st dose of vaccine: Health Dept

Chandigarh reported two new Covid cases on Thursday, taking the city's tally of active cases to 34, according to a Health Department bulletin.

The city continued to report no deaths due to the virus-having reported the last Covid fatality on July 5.

So far, Chandigarh has recorded a total of 61,916 cases and 809 deaths due to the contagion.

Nearly 80 per cent of adults have received the first shot of the Covid vaccine in the city.
