The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) has announced that its main gate would remain closed on Sunday from 4 am to 10 am due to traffic arrangements in the city.

The event would commence at 7 am at Chandigarh Club, Sector-1.
According to the institute’s administration, the temporary closure is part of special traffic management measures being implemented in view of a major city event.
During this period, patients, attendants, staff members and visitors have been advised to use alternative entry points to access the hospital campus.
Officials stated that the Sector-11 Gate and other designated campus gates would remain open to ensure uninterrupted access, especially for emergency services.
Authorities have urged the public to plan their travel in advance to avoid inconvenience during the early morning hours.
The administration clarified that regular movement through the main gate will resume after 10:00 am once the traffic restrictions are lifted.
PGIMER is one of the region’s premier medical institutions, catering to thousands of patients daily, and the advisory has been issued to ensure smooth coordination and public safety during the temporary closure.
