The administrative block and residential complex will be constructed on 10 acres in the Kalka-Pinjore Urban Complex
Chief Justice of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Sheel Nagu, laid the foundation stone for a new judicial complex of Kalka virtually on Wednesday.
The administrative block and residential complex will be constructed on 10 acres in the Kalka-Pinjore Urban Complex. Most government offices, including the Kalka SDM office and the Tehsildar’s office, will be relocated to the site, providing the public with all services under one roof. The site is in Sector 27 of the Pinjore-Kalka Urban Complex, near Model Town on Nalagarh Road in Pinjore. On Tuesday, the PWD began levelling the land with an earthmover.
According to sources, preparations are underway to lay the foundation stone for the court and judicial complexes soon. The necessary budget of Rs 43.53 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of the Kalka Judicial Complex.
It is noteworthy that, for the construction of the project, which had been pending for years, Shivalik Vikas Manch president Vijay Bansal, an advocate, had filed a PIL in 2023 in the HC seeking its timely completion.
