Chandigarh choreographer makes off with client’s SUV, held

Accomplice also in police dragnet, stolen vehicle recovered

The police arrested a youth from Sector 45, Chandigarh, a choreographer by profession, and his accomplice for stealing an SUV of a resident of Phase 10, Mohali.

Suspect Ajay Kumar was employed for some days by victim Varinder Kumar’s kin to learn dance steps before a marriage in the family. During this period, the suspect stole the key of an SUV. Three months later, he, along with his accomplice, made off with the vehicle using the stolen key.

The police arrested Ajay and his accomplice Dilpreet Singh of Ludhiana after registering a case at the Phase 11 police station.

DSP City-2 Harsimran Singh Bal said, “The vehicle has been recovered from suspect’s house in Ludhiana. Further probe is on.”
