Chandigarh eves lose to Rajasthan by 6 wickets

Rajasthan opener Chandrajoshna Bhati came up with 110–run innings to help the side trounce Chandigarh by six wickets in a match at the ongoing Senior Women’s One Day tournament in Vadodara.

Chasing Chandigarh’s 259/9, Rajasthan eves posted 260/4 in 46.5 overs with the help of a 136-ball 110 contribution by Chandrajoshna. Her innings were studded with 18 boundaries.

Aaradhana Bisht gave an early breakthrough to Chandigarh, as she accounted AD Garg (1). SR Jat (0) was the next to go after being spotted short of crease by Kashvee Gautam. However, SP Kumawat played steadily and posted 67 off 81 balls, with eight boundaries, to raise an important 182-run stand for the third wicket. This 197-ball partnership laid the winning foundation for the side. Kumai Shibi trapped Chandrajoshna, and P Guleria Kumawat. However, the damage was already done. DR Kanwar (39 off 31 balls, with five boundaries) and TB Vaishnav (26 off 28 balls, with two boundaries) made unbeaten contributions for the side.

Earlier, Chandigarh posted 259/9 in the allotted 50 overs. Openers Monika Pandey and Palak Rana gathered only 22, before the former was trapped in front of the wickets for 10 runs. Aaradhana (4) was the next to go after being caught by SS Kalal off RG Tak. In-form former Indian wicketkeeper Taniya Spana Bhatia once again proved her mettle and supported Palak (29) before the latter lost her wicket to SS Kalal. Shivangi and Taniya, thereafter, took the charge and went to raise the highest partnership of the Chandigarh innings. The duo posted 94-run partnership, as Taniya scored 64 off 65 balls with nine boundaries, and Shivangi scored 69 off 98 balls with six boundaries and a six. While Taniya lost her wicket to SL Meena, Shivangi's wicket was claimed by SP Sharma. Gulnaaz posted 21 off 31 balls with four boundaries before getting run-out by DR Kanwar, while Kashvee Gautam posted 27 off 20 balls, with three boundaries and two sixes before she fell prey to SR Jat. Down the innings, P Guleria (10) recorded a decent contribution.

Punjab eves record win

Punjab posted a six-wicket win over Goa in Ranchi to grab full points from the outing. Batting first, Goa posted 218/9 in 50 overs, and Punjab batters scored 222/4 in 44.4 overs. Pragati Singh topped the score chart by posting 60 off 64 balls, studded with five boundaries. Opener Ridhima Aggarwal contributed 55 off 66 balls with four boundaries, and Neetu Singh posted an unbeaten 56 off 52 balls, studded with six boundaries. Priya Kumari (19) and Avneet kaur (12) were the other notable scorers for the side. Earlier, Mannat Kashyap and Priya Kumari accounted two wickets each to restrict Goa at 218. Pragati, Mamta Rani and Neetu picked a wicket each. Harshita Yadav (52 off 74 balls, with six boundaries), Poorva Bhaidkar (36), Tejashwini Duragad (32) and Tanish (21) were the main contributors for Goa.
