City girl in Miss India Khadi finals

Chandigarh, December 17

Gurleen Kaur (19), a BPharmacy student of Chitkara University, will be contesting in the finals of Miss India Khadi to be held on December 30 at Delhi. Earlier, she won Miss India Khadi – Himachal Pradesh on July 30. Gurleen’s father Pritmohider Singh said three girls were selected from 22 states. “In all competitions, the contestants are wearing Khadi clothes. It is an initiative to promote Khadi,” he said. He said PM Narendra Modi would be present on the finals of Miss India Khadi. — TNS
