Civil servants are custodians of constitutional values and serve as a vital bridge between the State and its citizens.
Stating this during an annual ‘Parv Milan’ function by alumni of Sankalp IAS, Chandigarh, at the Lok Bhavan, Punjab, Punjab Governor and UT Administrator emphasised the importance of integrity, transparency and human-centric governance, and acknowledged the critical role played by institutions and mentors in shaping responsible and ethical civil servants.
He felicitated 20 officers from the IAS, IPS, IRS, IIS, HCS, PCS, and AETC cadres, who are currently serving in various capacities across the country, and lauded their achievements and commitment to public service.
The Governor also appreciated the faculty and mentors of Sankalp IAS for instilling discipline, academic excellence and public service values among students.
Charanjit Rai, president, Sankalp IAS, informed that the Chandigarh centre had so far guided 133 successful candidates in the UPSC and other competitive examinations.
