The UT Education Department has decided to hold compartment exams for Class IX and XI from October 5 onwards.

“We have informed the school heads to compile results by October 10 so that the CBSE registration can be completed in time. The mode of examination will be written. Students will be called to schools according to the schedule devised by the respective institutions,” said District Education Officer Alka Mehta.

The exam schedule will be intimated by the school heads to the students. Over 4,000 students in Class IX and 550 students in Class XI have received compartment.

“The CBSE held the compartment exams for Class X and XII from September 22 to 29. On the same lines, the compartment examination for students of Classes IX and XI of government schools in the UT will be conducted from October 5 onwards. To cater to the different streams, subjects and number of compartment candidates, the exam will be conducted at the school level itself in strict compliance of the SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in the wake of Covid-19,” read a statement issued by the UT Education Department today.
